Benjamin Ware, Co-Owner (NC Electrical License # 31668)

Ben was born and raised in a small town in Central Massachusetts on a farm where he learned the importance of hard work and dedication. As a young child, Ben demonstrated a passion for figuring out how things worked as he followed his father around as he built their family home. This passion never escaped Ben. He went on to attend a technical high school where he studied heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). After graduation, he attended UTI- Arizona where he received his Associates Degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology. After several years of working as an HVAC technician, Ben decided to go back to school to become an electrician. He worked in Massachusetts as an electrician since 2004, where he was well known for his meticulous attention to detail. In 2014, Ben and his family decided to move to the beautiful mountains of Mills River, North Carolina. In 2017, Ben and his wife Chris established their family owned and operated business, Forge Mountain Electric LLC where they pride themselves on reliability, great communication, integrity, and quality work. Aside from being a licensed and insured electrician, Ben is also a certified Generac generator dealer, installer and service technician that can tend to all your generator sales, service, warranty, and monitoring needs. When he’s not working, or spending time with his wife and two young boys, he can be found repairing, building, or fabricating something around his home.

 Christine Ware, Co-Owner

Christine grew up in Central Massachusetts, and obtained a BA in Psychology at Northeastern University in Boston, with a concentration in animal behavior. She went on to work in human service for 20 years, 10 of which were for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Service Coordinator with the Department of Developmental Services. While working in human services, she remained active in animal rescue at the local animal shelter and completed an apprenticeship for dog obedience, behavior management, and desensitization with a local trainer. Upon moving to Mills River in 2014, Christine became active with various local animal organizations where she successfully conducted volunteer search and rescue operations for lost dogs in the greater Mills River area until 2017, when she and her husband Benjamin established Forge Mountain Electric LLC. While Christine does conduct some generator quotes, she is typically found at the office; she is the friendly voice answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, obtaining permits, and managing invoices. When she’s not busy with business related duties or her two sons, she volunteers with a local animal rescue based in Mills River where she is known for fostering and training semi-feral dogs.

Andrew Tuckey, Electrician’s Apprentice

Andrew grew up in Bad Axe, a small town in northern Michigan, where there were more cows than there were people! He and his family moved to Brevard in 2014. Andrew is a 2019 Brevard High School graduate (Magna Cum Laude & National Technical Honors Society member). While at Brevard High, Andrew spent 2 years as the Varsity Captain for soccer and 2 years as defensive MVP. He was elected and served as the President of Transylvania Youth Council (TYC); a student led organization that created opportunities for students to volunteer within their community. Andrew joined Forge Mountain Electric LLC in 2021 as an Apprentice through the ApprenticeshipNC program where he began working under Benjamin. ApprenticeshipNC combined on-the-job learning along with related classroom instruction, allowing Andrew to learn a highly-skilled trade 1:1 from a licensed electrician while receiving job-related education from his local community college. In the fall of 2022, Andrew graduated with an Associate degree in Applied Science in Electrical Systems from AB Tech. While at AB Tech, Andrew maintained a 4.0 GPA every semester. During his time there he earned an Electrical Wiring Certificate, as well as a Basic Welding Certificate from Blue Ridge Community College. Andrew is also a certified Generac generator installer and service technician. When not busy working, Andrew enjoys staying active by playing various pickup sports, following Detroit professional sport teams, camping, kayaking, and fishing. He enjoys being challenged and learning new things and became interested in the electrical field because of the career pathways and opportunities to learn a wide range of useful, in-demand skills. He enjoys meeting and getting to know our customers and looks forward to working for you to meet your electrical and customized back up power solutions.
